The Moving Head Tape delay is based on early (tube-based) systems that had movable playback tape heads. Like the fixed head tape delay, the Moving Head Tape delay also has saturation in the feedback loop and a characteristic high frequency and low frequency roll-off. There is also a mid-boost sound across the tone range common in tube-based systems. This clips uses the Moving Head Tape mode with the third time pattern and octave up and down voicing (8H 8L)to create a very cool rhythmic delay sound. The third time pattern is used with the tempo set to the quarter note time of the song to give a combination of on beat and off beat delays.
