The Dynamic Digital delay type has built-in output “ducking”. Output ducking automatically reduces the level of the delay effect while the input signal is loud. When the input signal decays in volume, the delay effect rises in volume resulting in a very dynamic sound.

This clip uses the dynamic digital mode with the 6th time pattern and the voicing set to unison and an octave up. This combination produces a nice ambient background sound for you that doesn't get in the way since the dynamic digital mode only allows the level of the delayed signal to rise when you are not playing.
