We received a message from Daniel Fisher inviting us to post his Timebender demonstration videos he did for Sweetwater on our site. While we are not affiliated with Sweetwater in any way, we feel these demos are very good and will help end users get more out of the timebender, so here they are:

Dilruba Meets TimeBender

These videos of Manjinder Benning (http://www.karmetik.com ) playing his dilruba with a TimeBender delay pedal shows how versatile the TimeBender is. There really is a new dimension to the already wonderful sound of the dilruba.

AC021: Ambient E-Bow

This clip uses the analog mode with the 9th time pattern and 3L 3H voicing. An E-Bow (see http://www.ebow.com/home.php) was used instead of a pick to create a nice ambient sound track. Try playing with different voicings and time patterns to vary the sound. This clip was recorded using a Godin LG guitar with P90 pickups through a VOX AC30 Top Boost mic'd with a Shure Beta 87c. All the settings for this clip are shown in the figure below.

AC020: Standing in the Rain

This clip uses the variable speed tape mode with repeats set quite high to replicate the introduction to "Standing in the Rain" as made famous by the James Gang. The expression pedal is used to obtain the "out of control" sound near the end. The heel position has repeats at 70% and delay time at 600 ms, whereas the toe has the feedback at 100% and the delay time at 100 ms. Notice the pitch shifted repeats through the transition and the tape-like saturation that occurs as the signal hits the rails. The heel and toe settings for this clip are shown in the figures below.

AC019: Stereo Tremolo

This clip uses the envelope mode with the 10th time pattern to create a nice stereo tremolo effect. The repeats knob controls the shape of the envelope curve - at 60%, the shape has a very smooth attack and release. Try playing with the repeats to alter the shape. This clip was recorded directly out of the TimeBender with a DuoJet guitar used for input. All the settings for this clip are shown in the figure below.

AC018: Multitap Slapback

This clip uses the Dynamic Digital mode with the 9th time pattern and a short delay to give a nice multitap slapback delay. The extra taps add a sense of spatialness to the sound not present in single tap slapback delays. This clip was recorded directly out of the TimeBender with a Stratocaster guitar used for input. All the settings for this clip are shown in the figure below.
