AC004: Memory 4 (Insta-Groove)

The fourth preset uses the envelope mode with time pattern 4 and random voicing 4 (rnd4) to create an instant groove on top of what you play. Your guitar signal is sliced up into beats and pitch shifted randomly to one of the following shifts: 2 octaves down, octave down, unison, octave up and 2 octaves up. There is no delay line involved in envelope mode so when you mute your guitar, the wet sound stops as well. This effect is more pronounced with a guitar signal that has lots of sustain, so try using a distortion pedal before the TimeBender on this one. The rest of the parameters are set as shown in the figure below.
Heel Position
If you are using an expression pedal, then you will also be able to access the heel part of the preset, which sounds like this

The heel part of this preset uses the same delay time and pattern as the toe, but the voicing is changed from rnd4 to an octave down and unison, and the tone is reduced a little. The rest of the parameters are set as shown in the figure below.

I have been looking looking around for this kind of information. Will you post some more in future? I'll be grateful if you will.

It's a masterpiece. I have never thought people can have such ideas and thoughts. You are great.

Would it be possible to show the settings needed in order to create volume swells with the pedal?

If you click on "swell" on the right side, you will see a post on producing automatic octave swells. If you open the post it will show you how the knobs have to be set up to create the sound. Not sure if this is what you were looking for. You can also use an expression pedal to create swells by getting it to control the mix knob. Let me know what you are trying to do exactly and I'll see if I can help.

Hello Folks,
Amazing informative site, 10/10.
i used this site for research before getting a delay to use on bass, so when the time came to part with my cash, choosing the mindbender was a no brainer.
I have a question though about trying to use a delay like “AC004: Memory 4 (Insta-Groove)”, and then holding down the left pedal to perform the "(HOLD) INFINITE REPEAT" function.
I now understand that this doesn't work as the delay knob functions differently with envelope (and reverse) delay types. The only way I could think to achieve this is to maybe set a single delay with a long (2 sec) repeat time and near infinite repeats, then I could play in the pitches that would normally be produced by the random setting selected in VOICING. (taking several loops through to complete the random pattern) and then perform the "(HOLD) INFINITE REPEAT" function. - Or maybe use the looper?
Please advise me if I'm missing something.
Kindest regards

Ok - answering my own question above (unless the mods want to delete it). The Timebender is already doing its thing on the envelope setting, so then to ask it to do another type of delay won't work. If I really want to loop the sound on Envelope delay settings, then 1 possible way would be to feed the Timebender a looped continuous note from another delay (DD-6 of 7 as they have a setting for different wet/dry outputs) then the envelope will set off the additional pitches etc, and the dry out of the DD-6 / 7 will be the main instrument signal to play over the arpeggiated Timebender Envelope delay. A new held note looped from the DD-6 / 7 will accommodate any chord changes.
Happy days
